Psychoderelict: Part 3
I found an article from the UK newspaper The Independent on Sunday about the release of Psychoderelict here. There are some interesting strands in the article, such as Townshend opining on stadium shows, the class system, concept albums, cocaine, narrative, and a potted history of The Who’s ill-fated Lifehouse project. (Briefly, Lifehouse was to be an ambitious multimedia rock-opera set in a dystopian future, intended to be the follow-up to The Who’s highly successful Tommy. Many great Who songs came out of it, including Baba O’Reilly and Won’t Get Fooled Again, and Psychoderelict is set in the same narrative as it). One interesting thing for me was that Townshend describes the characters in Psychoderelict, off-handedly, as ‘comic-book stereotypes.’ Hmm. Comments?

I like what you’re doing with PsychoDerelict!
Have you gotten much feedback from the online Who fan community, or from PT?

Thanks, I’m glad you are liking it. The Who fan community has been supportive, though I haven’t heard anything from PT himself yet.
